sketch challenge at FBD! :)

The challenge over at Fresh Brewed Designs this week is using a sketch!  See it below and the card I created.  Click on over to FBD and see the fun and fantastic cards the DT created and then join in on the fun, too!

I used one of my favorite  FBD rubber stamps called Love Mug.  It's this mug with the cupcake, but I cut the images apart to create seperate images for my card.

Pretty in Pink and Hittin' the Beach! :)

Good Monday morning! 

I created a card for CAS-ual Friday's 58  Pretty In Pink challenge that was more dominate in pink than my other card I submitted.  Here it is... (sorry, it seems to be a bit blury):

A couple of days ago, I posted this card I created for cupcake inspirations; I used battle force 5 toy keys that belong to my ds.  Although he did enjoy them on the card, they have been entered back into play because, after all, the whole purpose of battle force 5 is to collect these keys to get to different portals.... i think.  ;) 

flipping it around, using the new birthday word search rubber stamp i got from drs designs, along with a little colored pencil, an extra brad and some bling...... a whole new card to give away.  :)

It was funny because I had just opened the blog to see what the new challenge was when my ds brought over his Hot Wheels Battle Force 5 Battle keys to me to play with him.  They immediately sparked this idea, so I had to ask him if I could borrow his keys to make him a card.  He was sweet enough to say yes.  :)  Here is my card.....

 

I told ds he could take it apart if he wanted.  Instead, he wants to keep it a card.  :)

new FBD challenge and more!

100th Challenge! Anything goes this round!  It's summertime and I loooove summer.  I actually found a file folder with stickers and jollee's stuff all perfectly organized, which would have been awesome of me had I known where I shoved it.  The good news is that when you find old stuff, it's like new again; sometimes.  Anyhow... in my folder was some Jollee's stickers and this beach towel is one of them.  I cut in in half though, it was much wider and now I can make another card... yay. 

 I used a combo of real sand and sand paper for my beach, which by the way, this beautifully drawn tropical scene is a Fresh Brewed Designs digi called Peace Be Still.  I colored it with glimmer chalks and copic markers.  the ocean foam is liquid applique. 

enjoying this scene is Sunbathing Beach Babe, a FBD rubber stamp.  I created the beach ball myself with a round punch and markers and a few fun umbrellas from the dollar store.... viola!
