Happy Friday!  Today I have a card I created just because... a lot of stuff from my burlap and buttercups kit and stuff from my stash.  I liked how it turned out with the collage of items.  The little saying sticker was so cute and I made the sun for sunshine, stars for freedom and a little flower for... well, the flower.  haha. HAVE A GREAT DAY!  :)

 

Spring!

It's a party!

The owner of Fresh Brewed Designs, Heather, has a beautiful young daughter who turns 10 today!   Happy Birthday to her!  In her honor, Heather created this digi (below) that is available to you with any purchase until March 31st.  Don't forget about the Rubber Stamp sale that is still going on as well.  :)

I created this card for the Birthday girl using this digi called Birthday Girl.  I also included "10", so yay, I now have a card for the Birthday Sundae's Challenge 49 to create a birthday card with a number(s) and birthday sentiment on front (see embossed background). 

It's Monday......

I'm not feeling too motivated this Monday morning waking up to rain, but I now see some sunshine peeking out, so that's promising.  :)  Anyway.... I have a card to share with you this morning using one of the newly released rubber stamps from Fresh Brewed Designs called Come Knock on my Door.  I created this card to send to a friend who just bought a new house. :)  It's such a pretty stamp and so versatile, since you can make it any colors you want and theme it up to for any occasion.

Birthday Sundae's challenge 49

The very last challenge at Birthday Sundae's.  They just announced they are no longer going to be doing their challenges.  :(  Here's my card for their .... aw, man... I just realized I'm supposed to have a birthday sentiment on the front.  Oopsie.  I guess this card won't be for their challenge after all (use a number(s)).... Well, I have my Grandpa's 90th birthday card to make, so we'll see if I do it in time for this challenge.  I created this card for my niece.  She's turing 1.......  

Friday at last

Actually, this week went by pretty fast, but I am relieved that it's Friday....  Last weekend didn't go as planned as we had a really big storm.  It was so stormy I didn't participate in the 10K that I had been so excited to run....it would have been fun.  Thank you to my blogging friends who wished me good luck.  The good news is that even though I didn't run there, I CAN run the 6.2 miles and not die. ha ha. I'm sticking to my exercise/running routine, so it's all good.  :)

I thought I'd share this card I made this week.  I thought I saw a challenge called wacky wednesday with a challenge to use wood on your card.  I don't know if it's over... but i can't even find that challenge anymore.. LOL!  oh well...   it was fun to make the card anyway.  I broke off a little dry branch from our lime tree and used it on my card for the wood part of the challenge.  Oh, and I was cleaning out a drawer and came across a bunch of buttons that came with shirts for replacements and in one of them was this piece of wool thread (must have been to a jacket or something....) and it made a perfect little nest. :)

I decided to use the newly released Gardening Granny stamp again to create this "from the garden of" tag to share garden goodies.  However, those peppers are not from my garden, they're from costco.  lol!  :)  I used a variety of different papers I had with dots as well as adding more dots to the bag with a pen.

FBD March Rubber Stamp Release & Blog Hop! :)

Welcome to FBD's March Rubber Stamp release and blog hop! If you are getting here from Rhonda's blog then you are right on track! If not, please start off at our artist and designers blog Heather's Coffee Break.

All around the country, it may seem like our calendars are deceiving us. It is only March but there is the growing feeling that SPRING IS JUST AROUND THE CORNER! Here at Fresh Brewed Designs we are getting spring fever! We are itching to bring out our bicycles, picnic baskets, spring decor and walking shoes so we can fully enjoy the unseasonably warm weather. Our Rubber Stamp Release for March is celebrating all of this as well. We are getting ready for planting gardens, watching butterflies fluttering about, listening to bumblebees buzzing all around and hearing birds singing. We are celebrating all of the NEW things spring brings. Some of us like to decorate for spring holidays. Others will be welcoming someone to the neighborhood or welcoming home a new little one. Whatever it is you are celebrating this spring, Fresh Brewed Designs has a stamp to help you create for it!

The new releases this month include Gardening Granny, Come and Knock on my Door, and Wreath Girl. They are each unique and so versatile! Our lovely door can be decorated for any of your needs. Fresh Brewed Designs NEW DIGI RELEASE!

ACK!  I apologize to Heather from FBD that my card/post is late.  I hate to event admit it, but I had created a card using an image that wasn't part of the release.  Shaking my head in shame....  So!  I whipped up this card this a.m. using one of the new adorable digis called Grace in the Garden.  Isn't she cute and proud of her fresh home grown tomatoes?  We just planted tomatoes last weekend....  looking forward to them this summer and making some salsa.  mmm.  :9  I even added some dimensional glaze to the toms here on my card, but you can't really tell in the photo.  Anyway..... head on over to the Fresh Brewed Challenge blog and see the beautiful cards the DT created (ahem, using the correct images and having their work posted on time. hee hee)..... then get your own new FBD digis.  (sentiment I used by Yolie).

new Burlap and Buttercups kit arrived!

I got some scrappin' done this weekend.  Quick and easy Lo's.... plus, we have been sick all weekend. boo :( 

My March Burlap and Buttercups scrapbook kit arrived this week. I whipped out these first 2 LO's using stuff from the kit.  My ds just got student of the month.  :)  Excuse the blurred out information.... 

 I created this quick and easy LO, too, using stuff I got at the LSS and stuff from B&B kit(s)

 This is really easy, but just so cute.  Love this dinosaur paper and embellishments, AND this photo is one of my favorites.....

Boy oh Boy- A|S challenge

The card challenge over at the A Muse Studio Challenge blog is "Boy oh Boy": create a birthday card for a boy.  Here's mine using papers and stamps by A|S along with fern ink.  Buttons, ribbon and blue ink are not as well as TA matte hot chocolate mist spray that I used on the entire card.  Yes, it's extremely bothering me that my saying is crooked.  It looks even more crooked photographed.  gasp! However, I had a heck of time with it for some reason.... I stamped, re stamped, covered up and now....  well, it's the beauty of handmade.  lol!  a bump in the road ...  tee hee.  ;)  This challenge ends tonight (march 11), so if you want in, hurry! 

 

I'm out the door!

I went out for a run in my 'hood today...   I now have me a handy arm band to hold my phone and keys, but I can't fit all my keys, so I made this keychain- this work it work out girl rubber stamp from Fresh Brewed Designs is my personal little logo and motivator....  I stamped her onto this piece of stampbord, colored in, and punched a hole with my crop-o-dile. 

 

My 10K is next weekend.  ACK!  Let's just say it's a good thing it's a run/walk event.  lol!  BUT I will finish it and that's the important part.  :)  HAPPY FRIDAY!

CAS-ual Fridays challenge 42:  baby projects.

It just so happens I have a friend who is due to have her baby girl pretty much any time now, so this was a good excuse to get her card and gift done.  Her nursery theme is bears.  :)

This bear is a TAC stamp that is one of my favorites ever.  It's one stamp set I can't see me ever giving up. 

and this is a frame I created for the baby's room.   I hope my friend will like it.  It has a spot to hold a wallet size photo.

Birthday Sundaes Challenge 45

Get Messy is the challenge:  ink it up!  use inks, paints, mists, etc.

Here's my entry.  I used alcohol inks with blending solution to create the background, then stamped (SU!) on it.  I inked around the edges with gold ink.  I colored in the flower with copic markers....  all stamps by SU!

 

A|S Challenge: Monochromatic

Hello all! Happy Friday!!  Posting my card for the A Muse Studio challenge blog:  Monochromatic.

This photo isn't doing any of it justice. The purple shade(s) are a bit off in the photo, but anyway....  here's what I created using A|S stamps.  The cardstock and ribbon is also A|S (except for the light lavender cs), and I colored some pearls with a purple copic marker.  Come on over and play!  You don't *have* to use A Muse products.

Karen's Doodles Challenge 99

The current challenge over at Karen's Doodles Challenge blog is pastels with a twist: also has to be Easter theme.  I just happened to choose this incredibly adorable Easter image from Karen's the last time I won a challenge.  Here's my card:
