new FBD weekly challenge

What a fun photo inspiration challenge this week at Fresh Brewed Designs.

 Here is my card.  I just found this wood wreath in my stuff, so it was perfect!  I painted it and added some gold glitter to it.  The little owl is from the Save the Hooters rubber stamp set (with the shoe) from FBD.

A The Alley Way Stamps card

So.... it was my plan to participate in one of the Alley Way Stamps challenges for the first time.  I found one their freebies (cute trees below) and get to work, finish the card, and THEN.....  duh! (smack my forehead),  I remembered it was a photo inspiration challenge and this card was in no way inspired by the photo they posted for inspiration.  haha!  I got sidetracked with cute Christmas trees, I guess....  totally lost focus, BUT I think it turned out cute.  I printed the trees image twice so that I could cut out the middle one.  I colored and gave it a few extra decorations and then popdotted it to the card.  Season's Greethings stamp by A|S.

 

Rocking Climbing....

I scrapped again! Obviously, a quick and easy LO... I sprayed the cs with T.A. chalkboard hot chocolate spray to distress it and match the wall in the photo a bit more....   The speech bubble and tag are chalkboard stickers from CTMH. tfl :)

 

cupcake inspirations

Challenge 183 over at Cupcake Inspirations .....

 

 

mine is more colorful, but the cute little witches on the cupcakes made me think of this adorable little witch digi that I got last year as a freebie, but never got around to using.... until now.  :)  If only I knew who made it....

For my card I used the FBD Lollipop monster digi.  I covered him with purple flower soft, added some googly eyes, and a little dimensional glaze and glitter on his lollipop....  It's not very original as I've seen the DT girls do similar before, but I've been eager to make a card with him and now I have.  It was quick and easy and look how cute it turned out!   Ready to give for Halloween.  :)

ALSO!!!  there are new digis in the FBD shop!!  Beautiful Christmas theme ones!  Here's a card I created using one of them:  Christmas Holly.

last day of the FBD rubber stamp release blog hop

If you aren't familiar with Fresh Brewed Designs yet, this is Hot Cuppa Joe.  He is a FBD rubber stamp released earlier this year.  While working with the new Decorate it Girl rubber stamp for this rubber stamp release, I discovered that they were destined to be together.  :)  Perhaps Heather had that in mind all along?  I don't know.... but I was happy to find the two paired together so perfectly.  I stamped her on a piece of cardstock and cut off the ornaments and now she's ready to give Joe a hug.  Oh, and I made her a little skirt, too.  :)

1st day of 2nd grade..

Yes, that IS a scrapbook page!  I can hardly believe it myself.... I've been so bad about scrapping....  I bought some school theme scrappy stuff from CTMH which I used here along with some other misc. stuff in my stash.  TFL :)

I created two cards last night.  This first one is for CAS-ual Friday's challenge 74 Put your heart into it.  The girl with the heart is a Fresh Brewed Designs digi image called Valentine sweetheart. The sentiment is a Joy's Life stamp.

 

The next card is for the Moxie Fab Tuesday trigger.  Here's the photo:

at Link Up for Pink!  The Alley Way Stamps provided that wonderful butterfly image as a freebie.  If you click on their name link, it will take you to it and you can save one yourself. :) I colored it with copic markers and glitter.  I created the word Hope with ms word word art, and then using Basic Grey stamps, I stamped the little flowers as well as the butterfly trail.  :)

New Digis at FBD and a new challenge!

With a new month comes a new challenge at Fresh Brewed Designs that goes on all month long with a prize for a lucky winner, so be sure to join in on the fun.  The challenge is "Thinking of you"....

 

There's more:  NEW DIGIS at FBD! Released today! I chose this one to work with.... it's a delightful flower in a vase on a table and I just LOVE it.  I added dimensional glaze and glitter for some water in the vase and a little tied ribbon for leaves.  Instead of "Thinking of you" which is implied, this card simply says "miss you".

Okay, seriously.... it's October already?  Sheesh.   But good news, it's not only a pay day, it's the Special Brew of the Month at Fresh Brewed Designs.

 

And It's freebies!  There are two!  Here's one....   

 As soon as I saw this digi with a boy and pancakes, I immediately thought of my own ds.  He looooves pancakes!  I created this place card for him and surprised him in the a.m.

 He was happy and loved it - with his name on it!

The girl digi is equally cute!  What fun these would be the a.m. after a sleepover?  :)
