new FBD challenge and more!

100th Challenge! Anything goes this round!  It's summertime and I loooove summer.  I actually found a file folder with stickers and jollee's stuff all perfectly organized, which would have been awesome of me had I known where I shoved it.  The good news is that when you find old stuff, it's like new again; sometimes.  Anyhow... in my folder was some Jollee's stickers and this beach towel is one of them.  I cut in in half though, it was much wider and now I can make another card... yay. 

 I used a combo of real sand and sand paper for my beach, which by the way, this beautifully drawn tropical scene is a Fresh Brewed Designs digi called Peace Be Still.  I colored it with glimmer chalks and copic markers.  the ocean foam is liquid applique. 

enjoying this scene is Sunbathing Beach Babe, a FBD rubber stamp.  I created the beach ball myself with a round punch and markers and a few fun umbrellas from the dollar store.... viola!

Cupcake Inspirations 164

I love dogs!  These cupcakes make se smile.  Here's the cupcake inspiration this week at Cupcake Inspirations:

 

I was the lucky prize winner at Cupcake Inspirations recently and won a voucher to DRS Designs Rubber stamps.  Ohmygosh, they have so many cute and funny stamps.  I already placed my order!  I can't wait to get them in the mail (btw, I ordered Sunday  night and they shipped yesterday-monday- so customer service is awesome).  Anyway........ while shopping, they had a rubber stamp with the saying that I have on my card below and I just loved it, so I used my computer to print out my own.  Then I stamped my favorite Boxer stamp over it (I have a Boxer, but he's got wonderful soft floppy natural years).  I found some fun paper (it's got a cool texture I can't describe and is a little floppy not stiff like cardstock) in my stash as well as some old silk flowers that I used to have in a vase.

I finished up my Father's Day cards and, sadly, needed to make a sympathy card.  All stamps are by SU!  tfl :)

CAS-ual Fridays CFC56

CAS-ual Friday's challenge 56:  Sweet spot.  Here's my card:

 

I created this card for my Grandma's birthday.  She loves turtles and she used to be a mail carrier, so this Fresh Brewed Designs Digi called:Turtle Express is perfect.  I added Studio G glitter glue over the shell....

The Challenge?  Pop it . Here's my card using a NEWLY RELEASED digi from Fresh Brewed Designs: From the Rooftops Hello! The clouds and car(s) by A Muse Studio.  I popped up the clouds and the cars.  I used cotton as car exhaust.  :)

Cupcake Inspirations 163 & FBD news

I love anything ocean/beach/nautical theme.  Look at these cupcakes!  So cute!  This is the cupcake inspiration photo this week:

 and here's the card I created using Cordelia in the Sand, a Fresh Brewed Designs rubber stamp- my very first FBD rubber stamp!  She's sitting comfortably on an abalone shell.  :)  I used my spica glitter pen on her mermaid "outfit", hair strand, dolphin and sun, but you can't see it in the photo.  :(  All other stamps are by A Muse Studio.

A Healthy reminder :)

We finished a box of cereal so I was breaking it down for recycling, when I thought the front of it would be great on a card with the Fresh Brewed Designs Work it Work Out Girl rubber stamp.  I cut it out to create this card.  Clouds are by A Muse Studio. 

oh, and more exciting news (for me):  my owl card was chosen in the top 5 at Cupcake Inspirations this week, AND I was the lucky winner for the prize.  woo hoo!  :)
