Challenges

Happy New Year! I can't believe it's already the end of January already. There's still a couple more days left to participate in Double Trouble Challenge blog 157

My card meets the requirements for Thing 1 and 3 with the optional extras of a winter sport (sledding) and add a hat (bears wearing hats).

I used a stencil from Craft Treat called Winter Village for my background. It stencils the village line and has snow which faded out a little. I added flicks of white for more snow. 😁

The cute, playful bear stamps are from Penny Black called Snow Cute. Wishing you happy holidays is Miss Ink Stamps Season's greetings sentiment stamp set.

I am linking up for Thing 2, but I'm not sure if it's "countryish" enough; Thing 2 is to link up for their collaboration with Farm Quest Challenge Blog #44

AND because I inked up and used my super cute new Penny Black stamp set that I won as blog candy from the last Coffee Loving cardmakers blog hop. I'm linking it up to the Penny Black Saturday Challenge

  1. Vanessa B: Hello! Thanks for coming to FarmQuest Challenge Blog! I'm the owner, Becca! Think of country as rural, outdoors...like having that village roofline in the distant background! I started FarmQuest just under 2 years ago and I've been trying not to repeat but a few topics so winter sports I thought would be great to show those outdoor snowy setting activities such as sledding, building snowmen/forts, skiing, snowboarding, etc. The way you've set/designed your card is wonderful!!! Thanks for taking part in the collaboration with DTCB! --Becca

  2. Venessa, what a great stencil for your wintry country village and love the slopes with the bears sledding and another having so much fun in the snow. Thanks for sharing your adorable card with us at Double Trouble and Farm Quest.

  3. Vanessa, what a cute winter scene you've created for our Double Trouble challenge! I love how you have the little bear in the foreground making a snowman, then the bears on the sled in the background... it really creates depth on your card!! Clever touch to add the light blue shadowing to suggest the hill and sled tracks, too. Thank you so so much for sharing your card and creativity with us!!! -Donna
