I "met" Becca through my coffee loving papercrafters group, and follow her blog
The Damsel of Distressed... she does amazing cards with various mediums that I always admire. So....I brought out my craft mat, and I dusted off my supplies and made a card for her Birthday Bash link up she is having.
As always, it's so infrequent that I use said supplies, I'm always annoyed when my paints have dried up and my misters won't spray. Seriously, use them or lose them! So... here's what I literally scraped together (ha!) to create this card based on her posted inspiration board and likes:

I used my TSOL rectangle die to cut a piece of thin cardboard to work on. I first covered it with Gesso, and then I used white TH crackle paint, then rubbed green gelato over it, and then put on clear TM crackle paint. Then I used a Heidi Swapp stencil with TH texture paste which was getting dried up so I added water to it.. wasn't ideal as it lost the "fluff", but it worked out okay. I dabbed on TH gold paint and went over it with a yellow copic marker. The stamps I used are by Inkadinkadoo (which I just said in my head scooby doo like. haha), and embossed with stampendous frantage. I stacked up a bunch of prima flowers, scrunched them and secured them with brads. I found this canvas banner sticker in my stash, so I sprayed it with gold mist and attached it some places with pop dots. It was a little messy, but fun. Thanks, Becca, for the push and inspiration. HAPPY BIRTHDAY!
