 and I had to add the "you color my world" sign, because this happened:

at the very end of my coloring, of course!  I was just going to blend in the cheeks a little more and I'd be done.....  be careful not to overfill your copic markers, like I did!  it was late and I needed to my card done, so I covered it instead of reprinting and recoloring.  I don't really like the sign, but it's done.  LOOK at that cute little artistic bear.  adorable.  :)

I actually ended up making a few of these for boys and girls, and have given them all away already:  had lots of kid birthdays lately. ;) I bought those buttons ("balloons") on clearance from Michael's, and thought they were perfect on that balloon (I think I printed at 50%).  Quick and easy.

2 new things at Fresh Brewed Designs!

Here's a card I created using the Relax digi.  I thought I'd try something new (to me) and leave the image black and white except the sun.  I like how it turned out.  But the other DT ladies colored it all in and made some gorgeous cards, so be sure to stop on over and see.  :)

4 decades....

YIKES!  I just turned 40.  For my big 4-0, I chose to celebrate it casually with a dinner and movie with some of my favorite best friends.  After dinner, some of us went and saw The Heat.  Ohmygosh, that was a funny movie!   

 

Using some stuff I got in the scrapbook circle July kit along with some stickers I picked up at Michael's, I like how my 40 celebration LO turned out.  :)

scrabook circle.... LO's

I really admire the scrapbooking art by Rebecca K who is also on the DT for Scrapbook Circle.  I just love what she does with their kits.  I couldn't take it anymore.. I had to buy June and July's kit on a 2 month membership, so I look forward to August as well.  :)  I didn't sign up before because they don't provide cardstock, but they do provide awesome papers and lots of coordinating embellishments (and I have easy access to scrapbooking cardstock locally).  Plus, it's an active club with a blog, newsletter - full of inspiration and use of their kits, and contests, etc, which the other kit club I have recently joined does not- much to my disappointment (and I haven't been overly in love with the kits either and late shipments, but... it's all good- scrapbooking stuff, right!? I have been enjoying and using it, though, so don't misconstrue- the kit club is great, but i'm eagerly waiting for my membership to be up with them, and will continue on with scrapbook circle- a better fit for me, I think).  :)

I actually loved how Rebecca used that yellow sunburst like paper and feathers, so this LO was definitely inspired by her:

I often post pictures on facebook using collages from www.picmonkey.com so I just have them printed like that sometimes, too.  An easy way to scrap several photos on a lo.  :)  Here's this year's Easter LO using the same kit with the addition of some jolie's and bling I picked up at Michael's.  :)

Caffeine CRAZY challenge- you only get 24 hours! FBD

Some months have 5 Wednesdays!  And when that happens, Fresh Brewed Designs has a special challenge called Caffeine Crazy Challenge where you only get 24 hours to get your card made and uploaded AND you need to use a FBD image... fun, right?  Ready.  Set.  GO!

a 'lil more scrappin' :)

I have been working on DT card stuff, but got two more LO's done this week......

I know a lot of runners and walking just wasn't meeting my fitness goals, so I began running.  I enjoy it more than I thought I would, but I'm definitely not a "runner" and if you are a runner or know any, you know what I mean by that.  lol!  I'm not really into races, but for the last two years (and plan on making this one an annual event), I've ran the Iron Girl 5k which has been really fun as it's an all women's event promoting good health for women.  I definitely wanted to scrap my first event.  When I got my last Paper posies scrapbook kit which was a travel theme, I wasn't overly excited.  I don't go anywhere.  HAHA.. however, it did inspire me to dig these out and I think it worked out well for my 5k LO. 

 And yes, another dog LO just because.  Although dog drool everywhere can be annoying, I love my dog's saggy drooling lips.  They're cute.  ;)

summer splash LO and a birthday...

Only one month left of summer vacation.  I can't believe it.  My ds and I enjoy swimming in the summer.  This is our 2nd summer of getting a health and fitness membership at the golf resort down the street from our house.  We don't have a pool, so it's a great a deal.   The two of us enjoy swimming together as well as inviting friends to join us.

 This is a LO for my dog's scrapbook.  Yes, I have an 8 1/2 x 11 filled with dog pages :)  This year (this month) we celebrated Murphy's 10th birthday.  I'm saddened to write that he's currently not doing too well, but we are working with the vet the best we can to make sure he's comfortable and not in too much pain.  Sadly, Boxers aren't blessed with a long life expectancy, and we are fortunate that we've had 10 years with him.  I hoped to have more years with him though and still hoping!  He had a rough time last summer, but look- he made it another year!   He is the best dog ever. Anyway.....    here's my LO for his 10th.  In years past we've made him cakes, but he's on a strict diet, so he had rice and boiled chicken shaped as dog bones.  I don't think he minded.  lol!  ;)
