Brown Sugar Challenge 30

Another post for another card created for a challenge. This time the challenge is over at Brown Sugar  Challenge blog #30 fruit/vegetable.

Here's my card:
I printed the sentiment from the computer, but the cute little corn is SU! get it- shucks....  ear..   lol!  I actually googled ideas.  I'm  not the creative. ;)  I used a piece of "hay paper".. I'm going to be sad when that paper is all gone 'cause I have no idea where it came from..  ;)  The corn is stamped onto core'dinations cardstock and slightly sanded around the edges.  I really love cored'inations paper.

Little Scrap Pieces challenge...

Hi there!  I regularly view this very talented lady's blog HERE.  Lisa creates the most beautiful pieces of art.  Her last blog post I viewed is a challenge at Little Scrap Pieces and the challenge is embossing- wet or dry.  I decided to join in on the fun!  Here's my card:
I wet embossed the SU! stamp image onto glossy cardstock with black ink and diamond embossing powder, and then used Tim Holtz alcohol ink and blending solution to dab on two pretty ink colors.  The card is dry embossed with a flower print folder (You need to enlarge the photo to even see it, I think) and then using the same colors and technique, applied alcohol ink to it.  The image is matted onto black glitter core'dinations cardstock and then onto vellum.  A little hemp cord and some bling and viola!  done.  I think it came out pretty.  I don't use my alcohol inks nearly enough.  Every time I do, I think I should more often.  lol!

You are... unbelievable!

Happy Wednesday!  Today I have a card to share with you using a fun Fresh Brewed Designs Rubber stamp called Hot & Stylin'.  "You are" is an A|S rubber stamp, and when you open the card you hear.... a song!  (see video below).

My dad loves to buy the cards from Walmart with music.  I usually save them in hopes of reusing them.  Some that I saved no longer worked, so good to know.... don't procrastinate so long.  ;)  I sent this card to my sister for Valentine's Day.  :)

Thinking of you

This card came out much prettier than I thought it would (based on my lack of artistic coloring skills), and, of course, it didn't photograph well..  The colors are much more vibrant with a bit more of a turquoise hue and brighter yellow; however, I'm here to share it as it's actually a special card I created that has meaning to me and not just a challenge card....
This beautiful wolf digi stamp is by Eureka Stamps Co.  Right before the holidays I had won some of their digis after participating in one of their facebook challenges.  I specifically chose this wolf to create a card for a dear friend who was undergoing treatment for a brain tumor. She loved wolves. However, while I was away on vacation visiting family, she had gotten pneumonia which led to coma and a stroke and then she passed away.  Just like that.  It's amazing all the things my every day life holds that make me think of her.  I miss her.  Anyway....I just came across this digi while cleaning up folders (our computer got a virus or something and was so messed up, but luckily the Geek Squad fixed it and saved my photos- including all the digis I hadn't backed up!)...  I had actually forgotten about it.... I realized I didn't get to make and send her the card I intended to either, so I decided to make it and give it to a mutual friend.  There it is.  TFL!

FBD February Rubber stamp release blog hop! :)

Welcome to the Fresh Brewed Designs Rubber Stamp Release and Blog Hop
for February! We are so happy to have you joining us this month!

If you are just arriving to the hop, you will want to go back to the start at Freshly Brewed Challenges.

This months stamp set combines three of our most favorite things:
A fun and sassy little lady, a steamy latte and a yummy, fluffy cupcake!

This set is called SKINNY MINNIE is SWEET.

Here is the card I created today using this fun set:

To separate the words from the "you are so sweet" sentiment, I inked each word individually, and then used a circle punch and a heart punch to punch them out.

Use this versatile rubber stamp alone or combined
with one of the 4 SWEET sentiments included.
Get yours at the shop today by clicking >>HERE<<

Thank you so much for hopping with us!

I hope you have enjoyed your time here at my blog.

It is time for me to say goodbye and for you to head over to my talented friend
Celeste's  blog to check out what she has prepared for you.

Have a very SWEET and BLESSED day!

Here is the short and sweet hop order in case you get lost along the way
