I saw the Wednesday challenge over at the Simon says stamp blog "Get in Shape", and thought that would be fun; create a card other than a rectangle or square. It's been a while since I've done that. They are also showcasing Lawn Fawn. It's not a requirement to use Lawn Fawn, but I have some Lawn Fawn stamps that need some love and attention, sooooo.............
Here's my card for challenge using the Lawn Fawn stamp set "Happy Camper". I made my card tent shaped. :) The inside isn't worth photographing, but I stamped the sun that comes with this set and the sentiment "have a beautiful day".

for Becca's birthday bash! :)
I "met" Becca through my coffee loving papercrafters group, and follow her blog The Damsel of Distressed... she does amazing cards with various mediums that I always admire. So....I brought out my craft mat, and I dusted off my supplies and made a card for her Birthday Bash link up she is having.
As always, it's so infrequent that I use said supplies, I'm always annoyed when my paints have dried up and my misters won't spray. Seriously, use them or lose them! So... here's what I literally scraped together (ha!) to create this card based on her posted inspiration board and likes:
I used my TSOL rectangle die to cut a piece of thin cardboard to work on. I first covered it with Gesso, and then I used white TH crackle paint, then rubbed green gelato over it, and then put on clear TM crackle paint. Then I used a Heidi Swapp stencil with TH texture paste which was getting dried up so I added water to it.. wasn't ideal as it lost the "fluff", but it worked out okay. I dabbed on TH gold paint and went over it with a yellow copic marker. The stamps I used are by Inkadinkadoo (which I just said in my head scooby doo like. haha), and embossed with stampendous frantage. I stacked up a bunch of prima flowers, scrunched them and secured them with brads. I found this canvas banner sticker in my stash, so I sprayed it with gold mist and attached it some places with pop dots. It was a little messy, but fun. Thanks, Becca, for the push and inspiration. HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

Digis for Debbie- Fundraiser Blog Hop!
Recently, we learned that Mrs. Debbie
Lynch, the beautiful and loving mother of Heather Dennis, owner of Fresh BrewedDesigns, was diagnosed with a rare form of uterine cancer. As most of you may know, cancer related
medical costs can be quite expensive, and Mrs. Debbie currently has no medical
insurance, which makes the cost significantly higher. Therefore, we have decided to help raise
enough money to cover these medical expenses, as well as aftercare expenses, by
creating a digi shop. All the proceeds
of the Digis for Debbie Fundraiser Shop and the Fresh Brewed Designs Store will
go directly to Mrs. Debbie to fund her lifesaving surgery and the aftercare
necessary to bring her back to wellness.
Furthermore, Heather has created a Give Forward account to assist her
mother. If you would like to help,
please stop by the Digis for Debbie Fundraiser Shop, the Fresh Brewed DesignsStore, and/or the Give Forward Account.
For those of you who are not able to contribute monetarily, we would
love for you to add Mrs. Debbie to your prayer list. If there is one thing we know, prayers can
work miracles that money cannot and healing and wellness is what we are praying
to receive.
The hop launches today, Tuesday, July 14th on the FreshBrewed Designs Challenge Blog, and will run until Tuesday, July 28th
@ 11:59 PM Eastern Time. All
participants can be found in the linkies section of *this post on the
Fresh Brewed Designs Challenge Blog, and we would love to have you join
us! We do ask that you use a digi from
the Digis for Debbie Fundraiser Shop or the Fresh Brewed Designs Store, and the
theme is Anything Goes, and you can enter as often as you would like.
Two prize packages will be awarded, one prize
for a digi purchaser and one prize for a blog hop participant. Winners will be chosen on Saturday, August 1st. The prizes will consist of stamps, papers,
ribbon, embellishments, etc.; plus, some random prizes will be offered by some
generous blog hop participants along the hop.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Here's the card I created, Thanks for always BACON me smile!, for the hop using digis from the Digis for Debbie Fundraiser Shop:
Thank you for dropping by and for helping us with our fundraising efforts; and again, we ask that you keep Mrs. Debbie in your prayers. Have a wonderful Tuesday, crafty friends! We look forward to admiring your creations! :)
highlighters4planners
I'm back to share a new set from The Stamps of Life called highlighters4planners. It's a really cute, fun set for you planner lovers out there. I, however, am not one of those planner people. I wish I were! So.... I made cards! :)
First up, I used the highlighters4planners set as I mentioned above along with a frame from frames4planners, and I made notebook looking paper using the TSOL notebook edge die. The little happy birthday is from Stamp2build.
This card is the Sizzix triple circle flip it. I used one of the circle dies to cut out the middle circle, so I could create a window using two of the other dies in the set. I thought it a fun way to hang the little banner stamp that's from the highlighters4planners....
flip it cards are awkward to photo, but here's the flip side... the cake and gift are stamps/dies from the spinner2stamp/die set.
treats4cookie and patterns4watermelon... :)
I'm back today to share another watermelon card and a couple of dog themed cards, too! They are NEW! Just released on The Stamps of Life website today!
The first two cards are using the treats4cookie stamp set. The food dish die and the paw die from cat club die set works for the paw and dish in this set, too.
Front and inside..... and the other is the sizzix large circle flip it.
and......... there is a set now called patterns4watermelons that goes with the club set that was just released on the first called watermelon2stamp. Extra cute melons, right? :)
and the inside.....
There's also a new planner set! I *plan* to play with it today. ;)
more watermelons!
I just can't put away the watermelon2stamp set yet! :)
I stamped the watermelon border stamp on white cardstock, colored with copic markers, then spritzed it with gold mist. I cut out "you are sweet" with that die, cut some some out for embellishments, and then used a piece of it for the card below this one. :) The pattern papers, washi tape, little red blings, wooden banners, red ribbon, and gingerbread twine is from The Stamps of Life.
I also used the TSOL rectangle dies to cut the card layers. I love them. I couldn't find them on my messy desk at first, and I felt a moment of panic. ha! Seriously though :)
Wood button is from SU!
do you see it?
Yes! ;)
Here's a card I created using some Art Impressions rubber stamps/die that I bought while at the Scrapbook Expo that was here in May: cute front & back racoons. They are so cute! and I love this window die. For the grass, I embossed green cardstock using an embossing folder from The Stamps of Life. I typed out/printed the words and cut it using a word bubble die from the Sizzix bird & tree stamps/dies set by Stephanie Barnard.
The inside table with coffee image is a digi from Fresh Brewed Designs.
also..... while at the Scrapbook expo, I got to meet in person.... Stephanie Barnard! If you follow my blog, you know I'm on The Stamps of Life Design team, so I was excited to meet her. Here's a photo:
Two cards to share with you that I created with Unity stamps. I made these a couple of months ago, but just came across the photos I took/forgot about. I love Unity, but only have a few of their stamps.
Here's foxy and fabulous! :)
I love this artists' work. I want all her horse designs. :) This is the one I have. It's so sweet!
life is like a watermelon....
SWEET! I have more watermelon cards to share with you today.
This first one is a shaker card. I die cut lots of seeds from the die set to shake all around. :) I used items from The Stamps of Life on all of the cards in this post: watermelon2stamp stamp/die set, papers, cardstock, TSOL mini flower dies, brads, ribbon/twine, and the little wooden banner on this first card (I inked it and glued "seeds" on it).
for ^^ this card, I stamped the border stamp a little bit higher, cut along the watermelons, and the striped paper is actually "inside" the card.
watermelon!
I was excited to see this stamp set. How deliciously fun! It's a new month (really!? where does the time go?), so that means a new club stamp and die set from The Stamps of Life.
The stamp/die set this month is.... Watermelon2stamp.
Here is a stand up card I created with the watermelon2stamp stamps. This is the Sizzix playful stand up card die set. In the die set, it comes with a bite mark die! Don't you just love it!? "I" chomped off the corner of the card. ;)
Here's the card as you would receive it...... I also used it with the TSOL strawberries2stamp stamp/die set.
and here it is standing up! :) I also added dimensional glaze to the watermelon, so that they looked extra juicy. :9
HAVE A SWEET DAY! Check out The Stamps of Life stamps, gallery, and videos! :)
