Thanks bunches

I have another strawberry card for you.  I used several The Stamps of Life stamps on this card:  strawberres2stamp; pb&j2enjoy; and crazy4daisies.  The chalkboard label I bought last Christmastime in the dollar section at Target.  I embossed  the saying in white EP which smells like baby powder.  I've had the EP for like 13+ years!  omg!  scented EP was really popular then.  I can't believe it still smells so good. :)
inside.....
Happy Friday!!  :)

gate fold card made easy!

It's no secret, I'm sure, I'm a The Stamps of Life fan these days. I joined the die hard club a few months back and have been enjoying using the stamps and dies.  I recently bought one of the framelit stand up card die sets which is awesome all on it's own (scroll down a couple or go to the TSOL website), but Stephanie posted a video recently showing how you can create a gate fold card using one of the stand up die sets.  It's so easy. I love it!  Here's my first one....

front closed (as much as I could get it to be.....).  This is using the regal stand up die card set which includes the happy birthday and shadow dies...

 inside flap.....

The sentiment is TSOL spinner2stamp.  The rest is designer paper from Michael's.

berry lucky

Strawberries2stamp by TSOL.  I actually used my gelatos on watercolor paper by wetting the gelato stick and applying color straight to the stamps.  It looks better IRL. I used Tim Holtz Wild Honey distress ink for the berries and then coverd them with dimensional glaze.  I hand cut out the strawberries and stems; however, I used the dies for the leaves as well as the TSOL mini flower; the label is from the TSOL fancy edge framelit card die set.  The You are a sweetie stamp is from TSOL pb&j2enjoy stamp set.

Here's a quick and easy card using the small strawberry stamp from the TSOL strawberries2stamp set.  The candle is from spinner2stamp.

stand up!

I couldn't help myself, I *had* to buy a Framelit Stand-up card die from the Stamps of Life.  This one is called Regal and it comes with 22 dies in total.

I *heart* it.  It's so cute and easy!  I created this card for my MIL.  She'll be needing lots of cards and love sent her way as she battles some health issues.  I'm sending this card out today using a photo of my ds kissing her on the cheek last visit with her.  He loooves his Grandma!

Here is the card front, closed. All cut out shapes are from the die set.  The shape that the photo is matted on, cuts out a cool cheveron pattern, but I kept the pieces in and used tape on the back to make sure they didn't fall out.  The Love word and shadow is also part of it....
Ta-da!  It opens and slides to a stand up position, locking in place with a little cut tab.  The border along the bottom edge is also part of the set, but the buttons are TSOL mini button dies.

berry fun new stamps and dies! :)

July's The Stamps of Life stamp (and die) set is Strawberries2stamp.  So cute!  In between 4th of July activities yesterday, I played with mine and made 3 cards:

I used one of the panel dies from the framelit flip it circle die #2 for the scalloped edge designer paper.  I used the dies for the strawberries.  The little white flower is perfect for strawberries and that is also TSOL, mini flowers. The berry saying is from the strawberries2stamp stamp set.  :)
 Quick and easy cards!
I Loooove the strawberry leaf dies.  They emboss leaf veins.  I used textured cardstock as well and crumpled my leaves, too.  :)

The strawberry set could easily be a new fave, but I'm still lovin' the hot4balloons set, so I put them together!  :)  The strawberries2stamp set comes with three different sized strawberries. I used the smallest for this balloon.  :)

TFL!  :)  Hope you all had a happy and safe 4th of July!

another way to use.....

The framelit flip it card dies.  Recently Stephanie from The Stamps of Life posted a video on how to create a gate fold card using her framelit stand up card dies, which I don't have....... YET! ;)  Then a member mentioned doing something similar with flip it dies.  I couldn't figure out how to do a gate fold with my flip it, but I did create this fun card using the circle flip it #2 to create a trifold card.  I also used TSOL butterfly triplet die set and words from the hot4balloons stamp set.  :)

DP unknown. ;)  TFL!

Up up & away... slider card

It's been a long time since I've created a slider card.  Yes, I'm still having fun playing with my tsol hot air balloon stamp and die sets.  I thought the hot air balloon would be a great image for a slider card... up, up & away...  :)

so much fun to be in my crafty space again :)

I have a few cards to share with you today!  And time to do so... yay to summer hours!  Plus, I had a medical procedure done and I'm not supposed to do much for 48 hours, so it's a guilt free excuse to be lazy and make cards, right?  :)

Okay! First up!  I'm still having lots of fun with the hot4balloons stamp/die set from The Stamps of Life.  I picked up this pre-cut word bubble window card pack from Michael's a long time ago.  It's studio G.  I wanted it to look like someone was yelling "hey, hottie" from the balloon. ;)  I dry embossed the clouds to give them a little more texture/appeal.  The sky is chalk.  The 3D balloon idea I cardlifted from one of TSOL DT members.
back of the card using my personalized stamp I purchased from TSOL.  The bar code is also from a set from TSOL.  :)

Again, more balloons.... I also used one of the framelit flip it card dies from The Stamps of Life, too.
This next card I created for my Grandma's birthday next week.  She is a retired mail carrier, so she likes "mail stuff"  ;)  I got that designer paper (you know me, I never pay attention or remember who makes what paper) from a scrapbook kit, so it's finally coming in handy.  I cut it using a Lawn Fawn stitched journaling card die.  The mail theme stamps are all Lawn fawn.  The little bird is SU!  The cute girl sending off her card is a Fresh Brewed Designs rubber stamp.  She's Decorate it girl.  She's actually a "Christmas" theme stamp as she holds an ornament and has a box near her feet.  She also is wearing long underwear... but no longer.....
I made her a ribbon skirt and drew her some shoes.
The inside stamp is SU!  Also, the little heart on the envelope and the ones inside are from a butterfly triplet die cut set from The Stamps of Life.
and lastly....  the colors are off on this card, but you get the idea.  I also got this paper from a scrapbook kit, but have had no use for it, but thought it would be great with these hot air balloons... traveling the world. ;)  I didn't want to cover the words, so I stamped directly onto the paper and then die cut the shape out and pop dotted it back on so you can see the balloon, but still read the words.  I added a ribbon so it would stand out more..  Up, Up, and away is stamped onto washi tape........
TFL!  Have a great Wednesday!  :)

Floating by.....

Okay, this is my current favorite stamp/die set.  It just makes me happy.  I love hot air balloons.  I love seeing them floating by, and it's actually on my bucket list to take a ride myself someday!  The card is a framelit flip it by The Stamps of Life, also.

I used the cloud shapes on the front side as a template when I added chalk to create a cloud background.

I added some shimmer chalk to the cloud die cuts to add a little something extra.  It looks good in real life; however, I see in the photo, it appears kind of dirty.  ha.

Today is the first day of summer for us!  It shall be a GREAT day!  So far no yelling to hurry up to get ready for school -- that is a joy right there.  ha ha.  TFL!  :)

Two cards to share! :)

I just realized that both of these cards were made for sad reasons...  rather depressing.  hmmm. Anyway... I hope this first one helps cheer the recipient up and that she will have good, healthy news in near future. I do love this set!  It's the June The Stamps of Life stamp set and matching die set.

and this is a card for my Aunt.  My uncle passed away in April.  I know, it's a rather belated sympathy card, but I struggle to make them for obvious reasons. :(  I do like how it turned out though.  Although I've already expressed my sympathies to her and the family, I thought a card to still be appropriate.  I worked on this card for so long.. here and there.. setting it aside, I can't even remember how I created the card front.  It took a lot of inking before I was satisfied with it.  I forget who makes the embossing folder, but I just recently purchased it at my LSS just for the ocassion.  I hope I don't need to use often.  After embossing, I think I used alcohol inks, regular inks, chalk...  The butterfly on front is a new "Triplets" die cut set from The Stamps of life.  Another purchase I shouldn't have made, but I couldn't resist.  ;)   Inside stamps are by SU!

2 1/2 more days of school over here, then it's SUMMERTIME!  woo!
