spectrum noir

Hey there!  I've been in my crafty space coloring. :) I have a couple of handfuls of Copic Markers, but they are just so expensive:  too expensive for me even with coupons. I recently spied packs of Spectrum Noir markers at Joann's, so with generous gc's and lots of coupons, I have myself a nice collection of Spectrum Noir markers which are also nicely sold in families.  I don't do a lot of coloring these days, so I'm looking forward to doing so, and hopefully producing a little nicer work now that I have more colors to blend.  I also have a set of Spectrum Noir colored pencils due to arrive today (again, thanks to birthday gc to Amazon)....   :)

I've been watching youtube videos, too, for tips and tricks.  Of course, with anything, practice practice, practice. ;)  I created these two cards recently.  They are simple and nothing spectacular, but I'm quite pleased, so thought I'd share:

One thing I did on the above card that has nothing to do with coloring, but turned out pretty cool:  this stamp set came with a mason jar print of "hello", which I stamped in versamark and embossed with clear EP.  You can't see it in the photo, but you can on the actual card.... just like a mason jar.  I love it! Anyway....  here's my other card.
Stamps are Stampendous.  I also got these awesome 12x12 paper stacks at Michael's for $5!  The pack I used for the above cards has cool embossing.  It's double sided in color, but the core is white, so great for sanding. I wasn't really wanting to buy paper, but for $5, they were too good to pass up.  I *only* bought 4 (the others are textured, but not embossed). ;)
