Thankful

Happy Monday!  My kid is home sick today.  A week and a half back at school and already sick...   it's just a cold and he's already feeling better, so that's good!

Over the weekend I cleaned up my EXTREMELY messy scrappy space.  I was literally out of work space; however, it's all clean now, and I did some card making.  :)

I'm going to share this one with you:
I created this fall shaker using the We R Memory Keepers FUSE tool that I mentioned a post or two ago about getting.  I'm still loving it!  I went to Party City the other day and bought different kinds of confetti!  :)

I created the window/frame using the Sizzix Playful dies from the Playful stamps and dies set.
The leaves and acorn are Sizzix Triplits Leaf . I'm a summer loving girl, but I absolutely love all things fall!  I just love this die set!  The sentiment is from the Turkey2stamp set.

Shakin' it up

Happy Sunday!

I've been on a Halloween card making roll.  I haven't blogged all of them, but they can be seen on my IG account, Facebook, or did you know...... The Stamps of Life has a gallery?  They do, so feel free to check out all the great ideas from the DT and TSOL customers and/or upload your own The Stamps of Life cards if you have them.  :)

Today I have a birthday card to share.  Shakers have made a comeback, and the use of the Fuse tool by We are Memory Keepers peeked my interest.  I used a birthday GC to get myself one of the Fuse tools, which I received last week.  I made a quick pocket just to try it out, so since it was already made.... I used it for this card:
It's pretty cool and definitely makes making a shaker card a lot easier.  Most of my shakers end up with a leak.  I'm excited to make more.  Papers are The Stamps of Life.  The cat is TSOL called cat2stamp. I colored it with Spectrum Noir pens.  The cupcake is from the Sizzix happy birthday step up card die set, but the candle is from the TSOL cake die set.  I used the bite die from the watermelon2stamp diet set for the little taste of cupcake the cat took.  ;)  To create the circle window and frame, I used the Sizzix circle framelit dies.

TFL!!  :)

Drop-ins

Hello!  If you already have a Sizzix Drop-ins by Stephanie Barnard card die set, you can now add extra words to it!  Newly released, two just word drop ins: Celebrate sentiments and Happy Sentiments.

I'll share a card using a sentiment from each set:  this card is the Sizzix flower sentiment scalloped edge drop in card die set, along with the new Happy Sentiments (birthday wishes).
and this card was created using the Sizzix Lovely drop in card set, along with the new Celebrate sentiments (holiday cheer).  Merry Christmas stamp is Sizzix.  I also used Sizzix Triplits ornament dies, too, with paper from TSOL!  :)

Just for you.. Halloween!

I've started making Halloween cards.  I'm patting myself on the back. I don't think I sent any out last year. ;)  I can't help be inspired by the new super cute set from The Stamps of life:  critters4halloween and the new step up card die set Sizzix Kind Sentiments step up.

I made this card last night using the above mentioned items along with Recollections Halloween paper I bought (but didn't use) last year.  I think I turned out fun.

Front:
Inside:  I also used pumpkin stamps from TSOL thanks2fall.

NEW!  Sizzix Kind Sentiments step up card die set!  Now available at The Stamps of Life!

I love it!  Here are a couple of samples I have to share with you:

Along with the new step up set, I used the Sizzix flowers & vase stamp/die set,  and the sizzix dot border embossing folder, and papers by TSOL.  It stands up all lovely!
Inside:  stamps are sizzix thanks stamps.
and sharing another... Along with the new step up, I used the Sizzix Birds & Tree stamp/die set.  Papers are TSOL.
and Inside I made it like a pop up card using the same Sizzix Birds and tree stamp/die set, and papers from TSOL.

Beautiful hello...

Hello there!  Just sharing a card I made recently.  I think it turned out pretty.
The flower stamp is by Clearly Besotted stamps.  I colored it with Spectrum nior markers, clear wink of stella, and put on dimensional glaze.  I stippled inks for the background and outlined it with a Spectrum Nior marker.

Beautiful and hello are both word dies by The Stamps of Life.   The embossed background is a Stephanie Barnard embossing folder called Playful.  I rubbed yellow gelato on the corner section and covered the whole thing with white coarse Mica pastel for a little shimmer.

Too cute to spook!

critters4halloween stamp set is just that:  too cute to spook!  I love this NEW set from The Stamps of Life.  I have some cards to share with you using it:

For this first card, I used the critters4halloween (oh!  i didn't mention, they have dies, too!!!), the tree die from the Sizzix birds & tree set, and the stars from balloons2cut and stamp. Star paper from TSOL.
Next are more cute critters, but I added treat bowls for both of them along with some treats on the inside:  cat2stamp and treats4cookie.
and lastly, a Sizzix basic step up card with the cute little critters.  The pumpkins are from thanks2fall.
Get ready!  Halloween will be here before you know it. :)

Ok, but first coffee

There are new stamps and dies available at The Stamps of Life today!  On the first of the month, the stamp set is tshirt2stamp with a coordinating die set.  It's lots of fun!  Now there are two new coordinating sets: one is sayings4tshirts and patterns4tshirts.  There are lots of fun sayings and patterns, but I kind of was most excited about the "Ok, but first coffee", because..... you know.... I looove coffee!! :)

There are lots of fun coffee theme print tshirts in the stores these days.  Surprisingly, I haven't bought one yet.  I did, however, decide to make my own!  It was so easy!  I lucked out as I just happened to be at the 99 cent store and came across tshirts!  I used a MementoLuxe black pad, the saying from the new sayings4tshirts stamp set, and the little coffee cup from TSOL coffee4two stamp set, and glued on the bling using fabric glue and viola!  My new shirt!  for 99 cents!  :)  I've worn it and washed it and the ink is good and bling is still on. yay! :)
I also made some cards..... using the cute little tshirt and the little coffee mug as mentioned above, I created my own little background.  The big coffee cup/die is from same set (coffee4two).  I cut some flowers using TSOL mini flower dies and here it is....... :)
For this card above, I stamped onto TSOL patterned paper for the tshirt, added the saying....  The Be strong is from the tshirt set, but it actually reads "be strong and courageous" but I left off the courageous.  Again, little cup from the coffee4two.  I also stamped the little cup in tsol bubblegum ink. It's a light pink and not too obvious in my photo....

Have a GREAT day!  But first coffee....

spectrum noir

Hey there!  I've been in my crafty space coloring. :) I have a couple of handfuls of Copic Markers, but they are just so expensive:  too expensive for me even with coupons. I recently spied packs of Spectrum Noir markers at Joann's, so with generous gc's and lots of coupons, I have myself a nice collection of Spectrum Noir markers which are also nicely sold in families.  I don't do a lot of coloring these days, so I'm looking forward to doing so, and hopefully producing a little nicer work now that I have more colors to blend.  I also have a set of Spectrum Noir colored pencils due to arrive today (again, thanks to birthday gc to Amazon)....   :)

I've been watching youtube videos, too, for tips and tricks.  Of course, with anything, practice practice, practice. ;)  I created these two cards recently.  They are simple and nothing spectacular, but I'm quite pleased, so thought I'd share:

One thing I did on the above card that has nothing to do with coloring, but turned out pretty cool:  this stamp set came with a mason jar print of "hello", which I stamped in versamark and embossed with clear EP.  You can't see it in the photo, but you can on the actual card.... just like a mason jar.  I love it! Anyway....  here's my other card.
Stamps are Stampendous.  I also got these awesome 12x12 paper stacks at Michael's for $5!  The pack I used for the above cards has cool embossing.  It's double sided in color, but the core is white, so great for sanding. I wasn't really wanting to buy paper, but for $5, they were too good to pass up.  I *only* bought 4 (the others are textured, but not embossed). ;)

Party! It's the 1st of the month.....

The first of the month means new club stamps/dies at The Stamps of Life!  The new set is called tshirt2stamp, and it's really cute with fun sayings AND the die set for it is awesome and fun.  You must check it out.  August 1st also my birthday!  So Happy Birthday to me!  haha :)  With that said......

Here's my party shirt.  ;)  Papers are from TSOL.  The shirt is using the dies (i love the hangers!), and the stamps ON this shirt is from the highlighters4planners set..........
but INSIDE the card is sayings from the tshirt2stamp set (and the highlighters4planners).
and for those who forgot........ it's never too late to send a "oh shirt", "i'm sorry i forgot your birthday" card.  ;)  oh shirt? that's funny.  This card is using TSOL papers, the tshirt set dies, and stamps..

 inside..
and look!  if you've been doing paper crafts for a number of years, you may remember how popular these tagger things were.  I attached a tag (sizzix tags & words) with a shirt tag just like from a store. ;)  good thing i held on to it all these years.  haha ;)
