another way to use.....

The framelit flip it card dies.  Recently Stephanie from The Stamps of Life posted a video on how to create a gate fold card using her framelit stand up card dies, which I don't have....... YET! ;)  Then a member mentioned doing something similar with flip it dies.  I couldn't figure out how to do a gate fold with my flip it, but I did create this fun card using the circle flip it #2 to create a trifold card.  I also used TSOL butterfly triplet die set and words from the hot4balloons stamp set.  :)

DP unknown. ;)  TFL!

Up up & away... slider card

It's been a long time since I've created a slider card.  Yes, I'm still having fun playing with my tsol hot air balloon stamp and die sets.  I thought the hot air balloon would be a great image for a slider card... up, up & away...  :)

so much fun to be in my crafty space again :)

I have a few cards to share with you today!  And time to do so... yay to summer hours!  Plus, I had a medical procedure done and I'm not supposed to do much for 48 hours, so it's a guilt free excuse to be lazy and make cards, right?  :)

Okay! First up!  I'm still having lots of fun with the hot4balloons stamp/die set from The Stamps of Life.  I picked up this pre-cut word bubble window card pack from Michael's a long time ago.  It's studio G.  I wanted it to look like someone was yelling "hey, hottie" from the balloon. ;)  I dry embossed the clouds to give them a little more texture/appeal.  The sky is chalk.  The 3D balloon idea I cardlifted from one of TSOL DT members.
back of the card using my personalized stamp I purchased from TSOL.  The bar code is also from a set from TSOL.  :)

Again, more balloons.... I also used one of the framelit flip it card dies from The Stamps of Life, too.
This next card I created for my Grandma's birthday next week.  She is a retired mail carrier, so she likes "mail stuff"  ;)  I got that designer paper (you know me, I never pay attention or remember who makes what paper) from a scrapbook kit, so it's finally coming in handy.  I cut it using a Lawn Fawn stitched journaling card die.  The mail theme stamps are all Lawn fawn.  The little bird is SU!  The cute girl sending off her card is a Fresh Brewed Designs rubber stamp.  She's Decorate it girl.  She's actually a "Christmas" theme stamp as she holds an ornament and has a box near her feet.  She also is wearing long underwear... but no longer.....
I made her a ribbon skirt and drew her some shoes.
The inside stamp is SU!  Also, the little heart on the envelope and the ones inside are from a butterfly triplet die cut set from The Stamps of Life.
and lastly....  the colors are off on this card, but you get the idea.  I also got this paper from a scrapbook kit, but have had no use for it, but thought it would be great with these hot air balloons... traveling the world. ;)  I didn't want to cover the words, so I stamped directly onto the paper and then die cut the shape out and pop dotted it back on so you can see the balloon, but still read the words.  I added a ribbon so it would stand out more..  Up, Up, and away is stamped onto washi tape........
TFL!  Have a great Wednesday!  :)

Floating by.....

Okay, this is my current favorite stamp/die set.  It just makes me happy.  I love hot air balloons.  I love seeing them floating by, and it's actually on my bucket list to take a ride myself someday!  The card is a framelit flip it by The Stamps of Life, also.

I used the cloud shapes on the front side as a template when I added chalk to create a cloud background.

I added some shimmer chalk to the cloud die cuts to add a little something extra.  It looks good in real life; however, I see in the photo, it appears kind of dirty.  ha.

Today is the first day of summer for us!  It shall be a GREAT day!  So far no yelling to hurry up to get ready for school -- that is a joy right there.  ha ha.  TFL!  :)

Two cards to share! :)

I just realized that both of these cards were made for sad reasons...  rather depressing.  hmmm. Anyway... I hope this first one helps cheer the recipient up and that she will have good, healthy news in near future. I do love this set!  It's the June The Stamps of Life stamp set and matching die set.

and this is a card for my Aunt.  My uncle passed away in April.  I know, it's a rather belated sympathy card, but I struggle to make them for obvious reasons. :(  I do like how it turned out though.  Although I've already expressed my sympathies to her and the family, I thought a card to still be appropriate.  I worked on this card for so long.. here and there.. setting it aside, I can't even remember how I created the card front.  It took a lot of inking before I was satisfied with it.  I forget who makes the embossing folder, but I just recently purchased it at my LSS just for the ocassion.  I hope I don't need to use often.  After embossing, I think I used alcohol inks, regular inks, chalk...  The butterfly on front is a new "Triplets" die cut set from The Stamps of life.  Another purchase I shouldn't have made, but I couldn't resist.  ;)   Inside stamps are by SU!

2 1/2 more days of school over here, then it's SUMMERTIME!  woo!
