I make plenty of coffee theme cards, of course, but I had to make one in honor of the day:

New Challenge Wednesday

coaster art!

A couple of years ago, a friend and SU demo made me a beautiful stamped coaster on tile.  I just love it and use it on my desk.  Then I won another made by her that I use on my bedroom nightstand.   I just had to make some myself, which I did.  Fast forward to current date, a friend sent out a coaster SOS! ;)  (I made her one of these months ago for that facebook pay it forward craft thingie)....  Anyway... She got a new job and needed a coaster for her desk at work........ 

 

I stamped this tile for her.  I'm really pleased with how how it turned out.  That sunflower stamp is a much loved and favorite of mine that I've had for YEARS, made by The Angel Company.  The bee stamp is Inkadinkadoo.  I colored it all in with colored pencils and chalk and sealed it  I filled in a lot of the holes with dimensional glaze and lightly sprinkled with glitter.  Then I lightly tapped the whole thing (after the glaze was dry) with a glue stamp pad and added a light dusting of glitter over the whole tile and sealed it again. 

 

Hopefully it will hold up to the job it's supposed to and not smear, and that Betsie isn't walking around with glitter all over herself at work. ;)

This rubber stamp was released at the beginning of this year, but it's near and dear to my heart, because it was created for me!  This is work it work out girl and she is getting healthy by exercising.

(and eating healthy, too, of course!).  Great for reminding your friends, family, and yourself to get healthy and keep going.  :)

Candy Corn Girl (released last year) is one of my favorite FBD rubber stamps.  I've created so many cards with her, and not just Halloween cards: you can easily fill her bowl with other items (I've put apples, popcorn, cookies, flowers....), and cover the spider in her hair with a flower or bling making her very versatile.

 

Of course, the Come Knock On My Door rubber stamp (released this year) is also very versatile, which makes it a great addition to any theme card:  change up the wreath to suit your holiday or occasion.

Distressing......

New Challenge this week at Fresh Brewed Designs:  Distressing.

 Here's a card I made for Chriss.  I used this super cute dog in a boat image that was actually created special for Chriss by Heather, artist and owner, of Fresh Brewed Designs.  That's Lou.  Now Lou is a brindle dog, but that is coloring that is beyond my artistic talent.  LOL.  Here's a handsome brown dog or fawn like my wonderful dog, Murphy. ;)  The image is available for purchase here:  Dog in Boat.  Lou is on his way with presents and balloons (clear stamps. don't know who makes them), and sporting a birthday hat I made.
