Happy Monday!

I had a scrapbooking kind of weekend!  At last!  I got 4 LO's done, too!  Not bad (for me).  I finally got all my photos saved to dvd, which btw, it's been my resolution to save my pictures every month... so uh, why is it that I just saved 3, yes- THREE YEARS of photos!  sigh.... but hey, it's done now, so here's to actually saving them every month (right?  hee hee).  I also purchased some great vouchers through Groupon for my LSS, so I made a couple of trips there last week for some goodies.  :)

My first LO I just love.  My ds is cute with his little vampire smile.  ;)  He just loves finding dandelions.  As soon as I saw this paper, I knew it was for this LO.  I had the photos printed in Sepia and viola!  I'm quite pleased.  I'm also excited about the dandelion I made (lower left).....
I used a little flower I had and covered it with glue and white flower soft.  I think it's very dandelion like, don't you?  :)
 Christmas LO's (2011):  Christmas a.m. and afternoon....
Ornament tradition:  this year ds got phineas and ferb.  I found some stickers at Michael's.  It looks rather amateurish, but I wanted it more personalized with P&F.
I did make one card, but I can't share it with you just yet....  it's for an upcoming digi release for FBD. Yep, MORE new AWESOME designs.  :)  Coming SOON!

TFL and have a great day!

A Muse Studio and Birthday Sundae Challenges....

Hey all!  I'm linking up this card I made last night to the A Muse Studio Challenge "Stamping on anything but paper", and to Birthday Sundae's #40 which this time is just to make a new birthday card.

*Edit to include that I wrote stamp board, it's STAMPBORD.  Sorry!  I have a bag of it with no label, but I googled it after I had questions about it, so... here it is:  http://www.stampbord.com/about.html .  Thank you to those who left me wonderful comments!  I appreciate them so much.*

For the A|S challenge, I stamped on stamp board.  I've had a bag of it for I don't know how many years....  I picked out three of the same size pieces and pushed them together and stamped the A|S foliage leaf with A|S fern ink and then embossed it with A|S clear ep.  The vintage label stamp and greeting is also A|S as well as the cranberry ink.  :)

Now that I have the bag of stamp board out, I think I'm going to use more of it.  It's nice stuff. :)  TFL!

FBD new weekly challenge!

The theme this week over at the Fresh Brewed Designs Challenge blog is winter:  bbbrrrrrr/snow!  Living in San Diego, we don't get snow, but it's fun to make snowy cards on a sunny day.   ;)

My card for this challenge, I decided to do a glitter window card.  It's been a while since I've done one.  First I embossed white cardstock in my cuttlebug, then rounded the corners and used a big circle punch to punch out the circle on front.

to create a glitter window, I cut a piece of clear contact paper big enough to cover the hole, sticky side towards the front of the card, then i lightly rubbed A|S glitter on it so it's no longer sticky, but not too much that you can't see through the glitter.  The adorable image is Tommy's Snowball fight.

I made snowballs for the front of the card with white fiber/yarn stuff.  I also added a ring of glitter around the image inside to just finish it off a bit.  Go on over to the Fresh Brewed Designs blog, check out the fantastic cards by the DT, and play along, too!  PLUS!  There's lots of fun news, too!

I created two cards, thus far, using two different cat digis.  Here they are:
Inside.....  simple, but says it all for the digi above, I think. :)

Catching up..... some challenges!

Happy Friday!  Thank you to those who participated in the FBD blog hop today.  You still have some time, if you'd like to join in (scroll down one post for info.); if not, be sure to click on over to the Fresh Brewed Designs store and check out all the fun new Valentine Digis.  There is a wonderful variety.

This post has a lot in it.  First up is a tile coaster I  made as my last Facebook Pay it Forward gift.  I received a beautiful one (actually, I have two!) from my wonderful SU! friend.  One is on my crafty space desk and the other happens to match my bedroom decor so it's on my nightstand. It's so handy for whatever beverage I may be drinking.  I created this one using the FBD rubber stamp called Love Mug.  I stamped it with Staz On Ink, then colored it in with Copic Markers, added just enough dimensional glaze on the coffee to give it a nice gloss, but not enough to cause a tipping of a beverage issue ;) as well as some glitter.  I hope the recipient likes it. :)
Next up is my entry for the A Muse Studio Challenge blog.  The Challenge this week is "Love is in the Air".  This is a fun little treat I made for my ds using the little bags I got from A Muse Studio :)  as well as A Muse Studio Stamps.  As I was for a brief moment in time an A|S consultant, these were in the start up sets so I'm not sure of the actual set name.  Aren't they cute?  The circle stamp was stamped in A|S sky ink, then I applied dimensional glaze and A|S diamond glitter to it.  The cute little heart bling "stars" (they have stars by the way, but i'm out) are also A|S.

This adorable Unicorn is a Karen's Doodles Design image and I created this card for the Karen's Doodles Challenge blog.  The Challenge #96- paper piecing!  I paper pieced the unicorn's body with pink polka dot paper.  :)
And the last card of this post is for the Moxie Fab "Map to your heart challenge".  Greetings from San Diego!  I used an old map with the San Diego part as I live in San Diego.  I added a palm tree (rubber stamp by The Angel Company) and "sunbathing beach babe" rubber stamp by Fresh Brewed Designs and added a little sandpaper sand.  Quick and easy and will be fun to send out.  :)
TFL and have a great weekend!!  :)

Birthday Sundae's Challenge 39 & Cardabilities sketch 46

I created this card for two challenges.  I think this is the first time I've done that!   Birthday Sundae's challenge 39 is a photo inspired challenge (see inspiration photo below my card) AND you had to include a snowman, sooo..... this digi, a Snowman's Gift, by Fresh Brewed Designs was perfect, I thought!  AND I created this card using Cardabilities sketch 46.

Fresh Brewed Designs new Challenge

Challenge #78 over at FBD is:  create a card using kraft, pink, and white as the colors on your card.

For my card, I created an Easle card.  I used FBD digi called Coffee Bag and made it pretty big.  I used a shopping bag by gluing it onto cardstock and then printing the image onto it, cut it out.... added some coffee beans.  The rings on the sentiment part was done with my actual coffee and coffee mug:  i ran my finger with the coffee along the bottom of my cup, and stamped.  :)  The saying I got off the internet.  Just a fun card for a coffee loving person!  Go on over to FBD Challenge blog, check out the fun and awesome cards created by the DT, and then join in on the challenge fun.  There's even a sneak peek to a new digi that will be released and a reminder about the upcoming blog hop!!  Have a great day!!  :)

Back to some challenges!

This first card is for the Fussy and Fancy Friday Challenge (#53).  In celebration of their birthday, the challenge is to create either a birthday card or an animal print card.  I decided to go with animal print.  This is an awesome rubber stamp from Fresh Brewed Desings called Some Things are Better Rich, and I paper pieced her towel, shoes, and chair in animal prints.  :)  The Coffee Break stamp is by Joy's Life.

and since I had the animal print papers out, I continued on with a little of it for this card which was created for Birthday Sundae's Challenge (yay!  they're back!) #38 which is just to create a new birthday card, which I did. :)  This is a rubber stamp by Fresh Brewed Designs called Hot & Stylin'.  I used some word stamps by Joy's Life  and the very last birthday sentiment by clear stamp.

craft friendly products for dogs.....

LOL!  okay, not really.....  I think he wants to make a card. ;)   My sweetest of all dogs, Murphy, loves to be by me.  This night he was laying by my chair in my crafty area and was pawing at my cuttlebug, which of course, I think is funny and cute and had to take a picture.  I know,  I know.... probably only *I* think it's cute, but I'm sharing anyway.  hee hee.

A Muse Studio Challenge.... emboss it!

"Let's hear it for embossing powder", actually. ;)  First, I was so excited I was the lucky winner for the last challenge and won a super fun stamp set from Lori Barnett  (thank you!!) which I used for THIS challenge.

I tapped the sun on versamark ink, then A|S Papaya and then lightly on A|S orange, then stamped it onto the paper and embossed it with A|S diamond glitter embossing powder.  I also added A|S diamond glitter along the window opening with a sukura glue pen.  I masked part of the saying and stamped it with A|S orange (the color looks wonky here for some reason?)........

and then the other part of the stamp with A|S ocean for the inside.  The tree stamp is also A|S colored with copic markers.  I used a corner round punch on the the card and dtp A|S ocean ink around all the edges.  :)

For a little birthday girl

Here's another image that I won/chose at Birthday Sundays from Karen's Doodles.  It's perfect for little girls I know, especially the one whom I made this card.  :)  It's so much lovelier in person as you can see the glitter from my spica pen I added in her mane and tail.  There's bling, too.   The gorgeous pink flower embellishments were a sweet gift from a wonderful friend.  The "birthday wishes" stamp is A|S, and the beautiful butterfly was a set I won from Link Up For Pink (but I can't recall who makes them).  TFL!
