New weekly challenge at FBD!

Hey there!  New weekly challenge time over at the Freshly Brewed Designs challenge blog.  Did I say TIME?  Yes, I did!  That's the theme this go around, too:  Time or date. 

I created this "clock card" using the FBD digi called dotty cupcake. I created the birthday sentiment using word.  Now this clock doesn't actually work, but you do know it's time for cake, right?  That's all that's important. lol!  :)

I have this stamp set from A Muse Studio called Fun Farm which is one of my favorites!  This challenge was a good excuse to use it.  I also found this cool "hay" paper in my stash i didn't even know about.  How perfect :)

This is so cute, I need to make sure I miss someone's birthday so I can send it to them.  HAHA! 

While I had everything out.... I whipped out a couple more...

Fresh Brewed Designs FIRST Rubber Stamp Release for 2012!

We have been so excited about sharing these new stamps with you! 


I chose to create with both stamps that are being released this month for my project(s).  First up is Crafty Gal!  If you're here than you either make cards, scrapbook or both ..... how can you not love this stamp?  She's getting her craft on in her comfy jammies and slippers.... :)  I decided to have her scrapbooking for this card.  I found these oh so cute scrapbooking papers at the LSS...  I paper pieced her jammies from some fun floral papers... colored it all in with copic markers and chalk.... (click on photo to enlarge).

and I even added a little mini scrapbook to the card front.

although I haven't already, I thought inside could read:  looking forward to making scrapbook memories with you.  :) 

NEXT UP........  WORK IT WORK OUT GIRL!  This stamp is extra special to me because I put in a request to Heather for an exercising image and not only did she create a great one but made it  RUBBER, too!  Sigh... (Heather is awesome.  thank you, thank you!) -Digis are great, but I love rubber stamps!  Now if only I was coordinated enough to multitask like this girl below:  texting, lifting weights, yoga and look- I added her a jump rope with twine.  ;)

What a fun image to create cards to send to friends who have been working so hard to get in shape and/or stay in shape.  February is heart month:  do your heart some good and exercise!  :)

I am on this journey myself.  Although I'm trying to shed a few pounds and tone up, I'm more importantly trying to improve my overall health.  I'm even going to do a 10K run next month. I'm feeling good and I'm hoping that my next Dr. visit will show that my efforts are working.

A Muse Studio "look what's new" challenge

I created this quick and easy card using the new A|S stamp set "wish you were here".  As soon as I saw it, I knew I wanted it!  This is my entry for the "look what's new" challenge at the A Muse Studio Challenge blog.

 

A|S products that were used:  green cardstock (i'm not sure of the color), french roast and ocean ink.

Wednesday = new weekly challenge at FBD!

Oh how I love challenges.  Of course, Wednesday brings a new challenge at Fresh Brewed Designs: 2 of something!  Below is my card I created for this challenge using the rubber stamp named Cutie Pie Swinging.  How adorable is she?  I paper pieced her dress and used twine for the swing ropes.  :)  Don't you just love twine?  It's so fun!  For my "2", I have 2 buttons, 2 pins, and 2 butterflies.  I was going to only use two leaf punches and two flowers, but it just didn't look right, so I had to add more, so there's 2 flowers +1 and 2 leaf punches +5.  ;)

Two new scrapbook LO's!

Yet again missing that monthly mail- that box of wonderful scrapping goodness delivered straight to my door, I joined a kit club again. I asked scrapping friends for recommendations and then browsed around many kit clubs, and decided on  Burlap and Buttercups.  (I *heart* the name, too!). I got my first kit like a week and a half ago. It also came with LO sketches, too, which is what this top one is based on.  I created this LO immediately upon receiving my kit, actually.  My ds when he was brand new!  He's 7 1/2 now.... :0  I added some Martha Stewart  cardboard stickers (rocket/stars), but everything else is from the kit.  I've also posted recent cards having used some papers and embellies from the kit...   so fun.  I've been trying to save it for LO's, not cards, but...... as long as I use it, it's all good, right?  :)

 I created this LO last night, which I kind of followed the same sketch by accident.  funny. I just loved these papers and the colors were perfect for these photos, I thought.  I picked up those thickers the other day while at Joann's with my future fall LO's in mind, but they, too, were perfect for this LO.  I also used some pleated ribbon I had from my stash to create the ribbon top to go on that Studio Calico cardstock sticker. I sewed!  sort of....  at any rate, that's still shocking.  I bent my needle too (that's not shocking.).  HAHA.    I also used some other ribbon from my stash.....   (including wasabi ribbon from A Muse Studio that I recently won on their challenge blog.  It's such a pretty color).

Thus far I am very pleased with my first kit.  I still have tons of paper....

Happy President's Day Monday!  My kid gets a whole week off of school for "President's Week", so soon we'll be off to do something fun for the day, since there is no school.  :)  Anyway...  I created this card for the CAS-usal Friday challenge 40, using ribbon.  I dug in my stash and came across that pretty floral clothlike ribbon.  It's really pretty.  I used my SU! bird punch for the bird and leaf branches.....  

 

Did you know, it's also "love your pet day"?  I didn't until I saw a post on fb.  ;)  Here's a picture of my ds and our dog, Murphy.  This was Murphy's 8th birthday celebration.  hee hee

A|S challenge...

Time for Mardi Gras!  My third blog post for the day.  I think that's a record!  ;)  I just finished this card for the A Muse Studio Challenge blog using Mardi gras colors.  All papers are from A|S.  The yellow (papaya) and green (fern) ink is from A|S, purple is brilliance.  The glitter, bling and ribbon is also A|S and the toothpick is from my kitchen.  hee hee!  This stamp set is also from A Muse Studio called Tini Time and it's one of my favorites.  :)
