JB Sept challenge

 Hello! I'm here to link up a card for the Jaded Blossom's September challenge, Anything goes!

Here's my card. I Decided to use this older set, fall coffee art along with the acorn stencil and grateful word from last month's freebie set for this fall card. I Created my background paper with Lindy's magicals with water on watercolor paper. The. Stamped the images and then stenciled around between/around them.

Here's a card I created using stamps and dies from The Stamps of Life. Brick stencil is The Rabbit Hole Designs.

DAIRY CHRISTMAS

Hi there!  Vanessa here guesting another day this month at Jaded Blossom Stamps. I looooove this cow stamp so much. It's called Udderly Fantastic. I finally just got it and was excited to ink it up. 

I thought it would be a great image to watercolor. I die cut my card front panel out of watercolor paper, stamped my cow and sentiment in archival black ink, and painted my cow. I waited for it to dry and then masked it off with masking paper so that I could stencil over it. 

I chose the knit stitches stencil. I used Old Paper oxide ink for the top portion and Peeled Paint oxide for the lower.  I lightly inked around the edges.

I die cut same panel shape out of cardboard and glued together for a nice, clean, slightly popped image for my card front.  I added a little bling around the flowers to finish it off. 

I've been making Christmas cards here and there since the beginning of the year; I'm happy to add this one to it.

Holy shiitake

Hello! It's Vanessa, again, back for another day guest designing for Jaded Blossom. 

I have a rather quick and easy card to share with you today, but I'm so happy with how it turned out. If you know me, you know I love to make coffee theme cards. 

 

This is an A2 card base. I cut a 5 1/4 x 4 front layering die to create my scene. Actually, I cut 3 of them in white cardstock as it's easy to fit them on the card that way without a lot of trimming. I ink blended a blue sky with oxide inks for the main base. I then cut the mushrooms two times and the grass once from the other pieces. I also cut some separate mushroom tops. I ink blended them all with oxide inks. I glued my colored mushrooms and grass onto my base. 

I then die cut several tree stump pieces so that I could stack them creating a thicker, sturdier stump. I ink blended two of them. 

 

I stamped and embossed the sentiment, which I was excited that it fit perfectly on the stump, with white embossing powder. Because of the stitching details on the die, it's a little lumpy and I had quite a bit of stray white as oxide inks stay "wet" longer. I decided that I loved it like that as it has a more earthy tree/mushroomy look to it and went well with the softer ink colors, so I used it. I glued all the pieces together, but did not glue the leaves on the top two layers so that I could curl them up giving more dimension. I added the tree stump to my card using dimensional foam tape. 

 

I die cut the mug out of patterned paper, and glued it to the stump adding dimensional foam tape to the upper part of it to give it more support. I glued my scene base to my card. I THOUGHT I was done, but.... I really wanted/needed steam coming off the cup! But I don't have a JB coffee steam die.... hmmm?.... fall gnome add on dies to the rescue! I cut some vellum out with the pumpkin tendrils! 

Jaded blossom sets used on this card: Mushroom dies, gnome dies, tree stump dies, mushroom for coffee stamp set, and Fall gnome add on dies.

 Ok! I'm back! I was experimenting with a card and I think it turned out OK,  so linking it up to this month's caffeinated Christmas card Challenge: coffee and cute critters

Here's my card:

I created the bkg with Lindy's stamp gang magical powders on watercolor paper. After it dried, I stamped directly on it and colored in with prisma colored pencils. I wasn't sure how that was going to work out, but the pencils covered quite nicely.

 Hello! I'm back for another link up the caffeinated Christmas card Challenge number 8: coffee and cute critters.

I finally added this Slim's whims stamp set from Miss Ink Stamps to my collection. I just love him. I've seen their dt make it into Christmas cards and thought that was so cute so I decided to, too. I watercolored him and cut him out. The bkg was created with Lindy's magical powders,  then (after it was dried) hot foiled with a spellbinders christmas plate, then I used the Miss Ink Stamps cheveron bone stencil with arteza pearl gold paint to add some bones, inked the edges.... 

Just bee-cause

 I just made this card for a friend using a Whimsy Stamps set with the cutest bees!! The bee butt is my fave. Lol. 

Plaid stencil is Miss Ink Stamps and the sunrays are Honeybee stamps. 

Happy fall gnomies

Hey everyone! Vanessa here today, and I could not be more excited to be guest designing this month with Jaded Blossom. 

I know I'm not alone in being a JB gnome fan. My first project to share with you this month is using the Gnome dies....

I created a double z fold card. I  used a die set, but it's an easy, uncomplicated fold. If you have never made one, search youtube; there's lots of great tutorials.

And it folds flat into an A2 size card for mailing.

I used the following 8 fun sets to create this card: Gnome dies, Gnome Fall Add Ons dies, Tree stump dies, Happy Fall Gnomie stamp set, Barn dies, Fall dies, Farm Scenic dies and Mushroom dies.Gnome dies, Gnome Fall Add Ons dies, Tree stump dies, Happy Fall Gnomie stamp set, Barn dies, Fall dies, Farm Scenic dies and Mushroom dies. 

I cut everything out in white cardstock (except the patterend paper for the scarecrow...er... scaregnome hat and mug, and red cardstock for the barn) and ink blended with oxide inks. 

I had soooo much fun creating this fall gnome card.

Jaded Blossom Monthly Challenge

 Hello there friends! I'm excited to be a guest designer this month at Jaded Blossom stamps. I'm starting off by letting you know about the new challenge over at the Jaded Blossom Stamps blog.  It's a stetch challenge. Check out the sketch below, get to work and link up your Jaded Blossom project. For all the details and rules, click HERE! 

Here's my card I created using the sketch. Mine is an A2 size. I used the following Jaded Blossom products: knit stitch stencil, Dont give a hoot,  coffee candies, Fall dies.

My background was created using my gel press, old paper oxide ink and water. I used the ink pad directly on the gel press, sprayed with water, brayered it around and used the smooshing technique with my cardstock until I got my desired look. After it was dry, I used the Old paper ink pad with the knit stencil, lightly adding the print. I'm really happy with how it turned out.
