Whew!

Happy Friday!  I have been super busy organizing an event for my ds' school and today was the event.  It's officially over.  Big sigh of relief!  I've also been in the middle of painting bedrooms and prepping for new carpeting.  While doing that, a good portion of San Diego County was on fire.  Schools were closed.  Although we were packed and ready to go, we, fortunately, did not have to evacuate. Between all that, we had two (kid) birthday parties to go to and I didn't make it to the store, so I made two of these super quick cards instead.  Stamps by The Stamps of Life.

I also created this LO of a hike I went on with friends to this well known spot called Potato Chip Rock.  I'm not a dare devil kind of girl, but I did it!  I was skeered.  ;)

It's almost summertime.  Although I plan to be out and about with the kiddo, I'm looking forward to lazy crafting kind of days, too, and visiting blogs once again.  Have a great weekend!  :)

RELAX!

The May Stamps of Life stamp set with coordinating dies is called flipflop2stamp. It's so cute!  I love summer and this is great.  I haven't had much time to create anything, but I couldn't help using my new set.  I made this card to give to my ds' teacher for end of the year.  I can't believe I'm already planning the end of the year...  as usual, it went by fast.

a LO and a card...

Happy Monday!  I have been so busy lately, but still able to find some quiet time at night to myself to make some things.  I created this quick and easy LO over the weekend using items from scrapbook circle kits.
and a card!  This month I was a lucky gallery winner at The Stamps of Life and won a free stamp set of my choosing.  I chose the created4u set with all these fun sayings.  I thought they would go perfectly with the crafty girl rubber stamp from Fresh Brewed Designs.  I glued her on crooked and it was bugging me, so I added the little hanger paper clip and brads, which I'm kind of regretting now, but whatever.  lol!  Anyway....... thought I'd share these real quick.  I hope to be able to swing by some blogs this week.  I miss seeing my favorite blogger's creations.   Until then... I need to get to work!  HAVE A GREAT DAY!

flip it cards

The Stamps of Life is still draining my bank account, because she keeps releasing fun stuff.  lol!  This is the latest framelit flip it card die, which I can't remember the name and I'm feeling too lazy to go look.  I just love these flip it cards and this one has such a fun edging.

This first card is a card I created for my friend's son's 4 year birthday.  I used the Stamps of Life stamps on it, too.

Again, the new flip it card card die with the PB&J2enjoy stamp set by The Stamps of Life.  The flip it card die also comes with that little tag die that the "jelly" and "peanut butter" are stamped on.
TFL!  :)

We go together like PB&J

I just got my April Die Hard Club stamp set and die the other day from The Stamps of Life.  I made this card last night.  I looove  LOVE  the little jars.  I, however, think some of the sayings are weird.  lol!  Sure, they go with the theme, but "wishing you a smooth & creamy day"... is that a good thing?  I'm not sure. I have to assume it is.  haha.  All in all, it's a super cute and fun set that will be very versatile.  :)
Have a great weekend!  (a smooth and creamy one?  HAHA)

more cards!

I seriously need to get off my behind and do something other than make cards; however, here are a few more I made recently using stamps/dies from The Stamps of Life.

First up is a CAS card.  I used the Crazy4daisies stamp set and dies. The Thanks is from The Stamps of Life thanks2fallpumpkins.  It's embossed with clear EP, and the f ront is slightly shorter to reveal thin strip of black which you can see, but it's not obvious from the picture.
Next is always Crazy4daisies.  I stamped the solid "petals" like mosaic pieces on a piece of white cardstock, then covered in two layers of SU! glossy glaze EP with a light sprinkle of glitter.  Thanks is part of the THANKS BUNCHES stamp, I just inked/stamped only the thanks part....
Using the circle #2 framelit flip it card, added sentiments from the Crazy4daisies stamp set.  Used flowers from the mini flower die set.  Some of them I stamped with the polka dot petal stamp from the crazy4daisies set.
TFL!

two posts in one day- wow! ;)

My ds is home sick today, so while he has been resting, I finished up a LO that I started last night.  If you're a facebook friend of mine, you know the story of the lost photo. If you aren't, it's a quick story:  a photo flew off the page while I was working on it, and it hasn't been seen since.  I've looked everywhere.  It mysteriously vanished into thin air.  Then this a.m. I realized that during the search, my cardstock got knocked into a SU! ink spot and bled on it.  I love my ink spots, but the lids do not stay on well.  Luckily, I was able to camouflage it.  What should have been an easy, quick LO, turned into quite the little scrapbooking drama.  lol!
Using mostly stuff from a scrapbook circle kit(s?)....... I'm done!

crazy4daisies birthday wishes

more fun with my The Stamps of Life stamps and dies.  Crazy4daisies rubber stamp set and matching dies.  Birthday wishes stamp from the Spinner stamp set, and coordinating paper buttons from the newly released button dies.  I added some word stickers I had in my stash....
TFL!  :)

hello

My crafty space has really been neglected these days.... but I made a card last night!  I created this card using a Lawn Fawn Stitched Journaling card die.  Then I used the following dies by The Stamps of Life:  mini flowers, mini buttons, and hello from the notebook edge and hello set.  The flower leaves is green washi tape that I cut.  To go with the stitch and button theme, I stitched on the hello.  :)  I got the paper in a scrapbooking kit, and you know me, I have no idea who makes it.. it's pretty though.

TFL!!  :)

crazy4daisies

ohmygosh!  After my break and blah blah... I was going to concentrate more on scrapbooking; however, then I joined the Stamps of Life die hard stamp club and I'm back to making cards.  I love making cards, but I have sooooo many cards!  lol! Man, this new club is going to be expensive, too, if I can't control myself... so many fun stamps and dies and she just keeps releasing more and more. ha!  Anyyyyyway..........  the March stamp of the month is Crazy4daisies, which is super cute.

I created this glitter window card using the large daisy die to cut the window.  Happy Day and the little daisy stamps are from that set.  The Good Life pin is October Afternoon.   Here is the card flat...

 standing...

and inside.  glitter windows are easy to make if you haven't done one.  Cut a piece of clear contact paper and place it over the window part sticky side out, then lightly sprinkle glitter on it (and helps to rub it in).  Easy peasy.
Next up, I used the circle #2 flip it card die again. I'm going to get my monies worth out if!  lol!  I stamped each daisy.  That's not paper piecing, the set comes with that cute polka dot pattern that fits right in the petal. :)  Closed card...
 and open...
TFL!! Have a happy day!!  :)

Happy Birthday, Pop!

Today is my Dad's birthday!  I made him this card using the popcorn stamp set by Stamps of Life (and the dies to go with it).  I just had to have this set.  It's so cute and popcorn is one of my very favorite foods!  I stamped and die cut all the popcorn and crinkled them to give them more of a popcorn look. :)

Inside I used dies from Stamps of life as well; the two sentiments in the shapes are from the Stamps of Life Spinner set, and POP is from the popcorn set.  Someone posted a card at the SofL gallery that said Hello, Pop! and made me laugh which is how I came up with this birthday to my Pop (but I don't ever call him that. lol!!)...

Hope he likes it.  It was fun to make.  :)  TFL!

circle flip it (#2) card....

I absolutely LOVE this framelit flip it card die (Stephanie Barnard Stamps of Life).  It cuts and scores!  So quick and easy to create this sweet card.  No measuring, which if you know me at all, know I despise measuring things! I also just bought from Stamps of Life, the new mini flowers die set.  So cute!  All the little flowers I wanted/needed in the colors to match my paper selection.  :)  Stamps are also Stamps of Life.

Using same flip it card, I created a masculine card...

So fun!  TFL!
