Happy President's Day Monday!  My kid gets a whole week off of school for "President's Week", so soon we'll be off to do something fun for the day, since there is no school.  :)  Anyway...  I created this card for the CAS-usal Friday challenge 40, using ribbon.  I dug in my stash and came across that pretty floral clothlike ribbon.  It's really pretty.  I used my SU! bird punch for the bird and leaf branches.....  

 

Did you know, it's also "love your pet day"?  I didn't until I saw a post on fb.  ;)  Here's a picture of my ds and our dog, Murphy.  This was Murphy's 8th birthday celebration.  hee hee

A|S challenge...

Time for Mardi Gras!  My third blog post for the day.  I think that's a record!  ;)  I just finished this card for the A Muse Studio Challenge blog using Mardi gras colors.  All papers are from A|S.  The yellow (papaya) and green (fern) ink is from A|S, purple is brilliance.  The glitter, bling and ribbon is also A|S and the toothpick is from my kitchen.  hee hee!  This stamp set is also from A Muse Studio called Tini Time and it's one of my favorites.  :)

Okay!  My ds has been home with strep throat.  He has started antibiotics and is good to go back to school tomorrow, thankfully!  Although I love lazy days, I've had enough.  ;)  BUT I do have some cards to share.....  FIRST things first.... it's Wednesday, so please check my post below this one for the Fresh Brewed Designs weekly challenge that begins today! 

This card I created over the weekend as I'm always in the need of thank you cards.... using a new (to me!) rubber stamp La Dolce Vita (The Sweet Life) from Fresh Brewed Designs.  I just love her all cheery and content with her cupcake and latte. 

 and THIS card I created for the Birthday Sundae's challenge 43 which is a photo inspiration challenge so cruise on over there and check it out (then play along!).   This digi trio of cupcakes with hearts on it called sweetheart cupcakes in a row from Fresh Brewed Designs is perfect for the photo challenge.  "birthday wishes" is A Muse Studio...

 and this card is for Karen's Doodles challenge 98 which is "celebrate".  This is a Karen's Doodle digi image I chose from being a recent winner.  Isn't  he cute?  If you click the card to enlarge it, you'll see I added glitter and dimensional glaze to him.  The cake has white flower soft frosting. :)

FBC 83

New weekly challenge at FBD challenge blog!  It's RED HOT!  my card isn't very "hot", but it's red!  However, as one of the other DT members told me, "it's smokin' so it has be hot".  HAHA.  she is so funny... and right!  :)  This is a valentine I made for my ds using one of the cute new digis from FBD that I even personalized for my ds with his initials for JB express.  I found some railroad tie embellishments in my stash.... he loved his valentine yesterday.  :)

The CAS-ual Friday Challenge blog's challenge this week is paper piecing.  I love paper piecing, so I thought I'd join in on the fun and use my new fresh brewed designs rubber stamp. :)   I hope this qualifies as CAS, because honestly, I'm not very good at CAS.  Here's what I made.....

This cutie pie in the clouds is a rubber stamp by Fresh Brewed Designs.  I paper pieced her dress as well as the cloud (it's felt with an outline of white flower soft).  Thinking of you is A Muse Studio.

It's a Groovy Blog Hop!

Hey! Here's the skinny. Fresh Brewed Designs has been preparing something totally funkadelic. I mean, it is RAD man. I am totally diggin' it and know you will too. First, you have to make sure you aint trippin and are starting at the right pad.  If you are getting here from Kenzie's blog  (http://kraftyhugzz.blogspot.com/) then you are right on track man! We have all been so stoked about this hop! The team and our jive guests have created some projects that are out of site! I mean they are totally off the hook bro! So get down and boogie with us.. feel tha funk and get ready for some total SWEETNESS.

The Fresh Brewed digi I chose to work with is called "Peace, Love & Coffee" which is the awesome peace sign coffee cup.  For a little flower power, I created a flower card using my cricut cart with some groovy papers I picked up at the scrapbook store.  I printed the digi on tie die paper and added some glitter.  I also found some corduroy in my stash of stuff.  I cut out a flower with it to add to my groovy peace, love, and coffee card. :)

I'm not sure why, but I was inspired to create this key chain, too! I think it turned out cute.  I printed it on cardstock, colored it, and then laminated it.  A few peace charms, and viola!  Peace, Love and Coffee key chain.   :)

Wednesday! Challenge 82 at FBD

The challenge this week is a photo inspiration challenge, so click on over and check out the delicious photo to inspire your card making this week!  Trust me, you'll be craving a cupcake when you're done looking at all the yummy cards the DT made!  This is the card I created using a cupcake trio digi called Sweetheart cupcakes in a row which I made a row of!  A little dimensional glaze and some sugar and mmm... label stamp by A Muse Studio and "sweet" stamp unknown.

just bee'cause

Here's a card I created over the weekend just for fun.  I think I'll send it to my grandparents for Vday. :)  The adorable bee with the heart is a Fresh Brewed Designs digi, and the pot is Stamps by Judith and the flowers stamp is Stampendous....   I added a few paper flowers, some glitter and flower soft, and the bee is pop-dotted.

Birthday Sundae's Challenge 41

Challenge #41 over at Birthday Sundae's is to create an easel birthday card.  Here is the card I created for it using two digis (the cowgirl and cowboy) from Fresh Brewed Designs.  All other stamps are by SU!.

Really?  It's February already?  Whew.  That was fast!  AND it's Wednesday so it's time for a new challenge at Fresh Brewed Designs:  LOVE. I took a less Valentiney approach and created this card below.  I love anything chili peppers and this couple is the cutest!  Dontcha think?  A digi from FBD called "dancing peppers.  Head on over to the Fresh Brewed Blog to see all the wonderful LOVEly cards by the DT and then link up for the challenge.  The theme is for the weekly challenge as well as the monthly PRIZE challenge (yep, I said prize!).
