Love to Create

Good Monday morning!

Here is my card I created for it. I used a Fresh Brewed Designs digi and made it big enough to be card sized:  I printed it, folded it over, and cut around it to create a giant ice-cream cone shaped card.  :)  I used white liquid applique for the vanilla ice-cream.  The yummy chocolate topping is brown maker with dimensional glaze over it.  My little bead sprinkles didn't turn out as I had hoped, but...  I also have dimensional glaze on the cherry.  Because it's been so hot here and ice-cream is melting fast, I covered some water droplet stickers I had with liquid applique to make ice-cream drips, too.  The one dangling to the left (i know- hard to see since my backdrop is so similar in color) also helped cover where I needed to keep the card together to open.  ;)

New Challenge for FBD

Half way through the week.  Yep, it's Wednesday and that means there is a new challenge over at Fresh Brewed Designs.  The challenge this week is a photo inspiration challenge and here's the photo:

 Here's my card using Sunbathing Granny, a digi at FBD.  Don't you just love her?

 

The thought bubble and saying were typed up in Microsoft word.  What a wonderful and wise quote that Granny is thinking/sharing.  :)

My MIL has been here visiting, so I haven't had as much time to play in my crafty space.  Although I did get some DT stuff done, I haven't gotten in on as many challenges..... BUT I created this card yesterday for CAS-ual Fridays 62 Back in Black.

 

I embossed the flower stamp (A Muse Studio) with white pearl transparent EP and it turned out more of a silvery color which I was hoping for white.  It was still pretty though and I added some tiny blue bling which is hard to tell from the photo.... 

Food and/or Drink Challenge

For my card I used a newly released "set" called We're Juicy. (it's currently on sale even!)... 

I made this card for my cousin. We've been discussing good health:  eating well and exercising.  This sentiment will crack her up, so I'm sending it to her as an encouragement card.  How can you not smile looking at those happy little juicy fruits. :)

I added dimensional glaze to the grapes and cherries and everything is colored with copic markers.

Let's Strip!

That's the challenge at Casual Friday's this week:  use strips of color or pattern in your creation.  what were you thinking?  lol! 

For my strips, I used a strip of veggie ads from the grocery paper as well as a strip of paper from the cosmo criket garden variety.

A fun little card to remind someone to eat healthy.  :)

DAY 2 of the FBD Blog hop/Rubber Release

It's day 2 of the Fresh Brewed Designs Blog Hop and Rubber stamp release!!  If you missed yesterday, scroll down one post.  :)

Today I have two more cards to share using the newly resized SPICY PUMPKIN LATTE and I'll TAKE MINE TO GO, along with a FBD sentiment WITHOUT CAFFEINE.

This has been a favorite rubber stamp of mine, and I have created many cards using this stamp (or the original size, but either one is so much fun).  I've added images to create a scene, I've cut her out and placed her other places, I've punched out just the top half of her holding her latte, you can mask off or cover up the pumpkins if you're not in a fall pumpkin kind of mood.....  so many possibilities!  :)

 

Using the same sentiment, I created this card with I'LL TAKE MINE TO GO.  I stamped her on the edge and then trimmed/cut around the image.  A quick, easy and fun card.

Owl be surfing

Owl be lazy today, actually. All of us here have a case of the lazies, so instead of being out and about for 4th of July festivities, we are exercising our freedom to do nothing today, but hang out together at home.  We'll see fireworks tonight though.  :) 

Sooo....  I made a card using one of the just released (today! scroll down one for my other project and links) Fresh Brewed Designs Digi stamps called Owl be Surfing.  I loved the gold glittery sand on the card that my fellow DT member Sheryl created, so I had to steal that idea for my sand on this card.  :)  I also added glittery shimmer to the waves and then sun using the spica glitter pen, but it's always hard to see in photographs... 

I'm also entering this into the CAS-ual Friday Challenge 59 round and round.

HELLO!

Whew!  We've been busy over here, but I've been able to make a few cards.  Some I can't yet share with you as they are for the upcoming FBD rubber release blog hop (check it on my side bar and mark your calendars!). 

This card, however, I can share. I created it for the Moxie Fab World challenge Hello (using rubber stamps).  The rubber stamp I used is by Fresh Brewed Designs called Hello Girlfriend.  When I cut the image out, I cut off the phone cord and added my own which is elastic jewelry cord (click on photo to enlarge). 

Tomorrow FBD is having a new digi release.  Be sure to check it out before your start your Holiday fun!  You won't want to miss them.  :)  It's also the beginning of a new challenge!
